'Living a Nightmare': Families of Unaccounted For Teens Await Information After Alpine Inferno
The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a devastating inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are facing an agonising wait for answers and appealing for any details about their children online.
The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and hurt another 119. Authorities said on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process continuing to identify the final individuals.
In the waiting period, families and friends have been using online platforms to request information about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.
Appeals for the Unaccounted For

The Italian foreign ministry has said that six of its young people have not been located.

The national sporting body has stated that he is dead, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "young athlete who embodied passion and true sportsmanship."
His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is still pending.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother explained that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the bar.
