Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
